I have always loved hunting and some of my oldest memories are of me begging my dad to take me out. My early years of hunting were spent archery hunting white tail and turkey in Pennsylvania. When I moved home to Colorado I was very excited to try my hand at mule deer and elk, it took me 7 years to finally get out and that’s where Life Size Targets took shape.
When getting ready for elk season I wanted to hone my rifle shooting skills and be prepared to ethically take an elk. I was very disappointed to see that my target options were just circles or severely reduced images of an animal. I wanted to practice with the shots that were needed on the animal I planned on hunting, and there were no options for this. To help myself prepare for my season I developed my own personal target and was amazed by the responses to it.
Now I want to help other hunters get ready for their day in the field; just beginning hunting or a hunting veteran tackling the challenge of an elk season, I strongly feel that these targets will prepare you for what you will encounter in the woods on your hunts. Now you can practice your shot placement and realize what limitations you have regarding distance and ethically being able to harvest an animal. Whether you go out for archery or rifle season, practicing with these targets will help you to be better prepared when your game comes in view.
Good luck to everyone out there, be safe and accurate!
